Vote to be Conducted
Two non-budgeted charity contributions
in excess of $250 will be
voted on at our October council
meeting:
• $500 donation for Hurricane
Harvey Relief.
• $500 for Hurricane Irma Relief


Council Budgets Approved
Our council’s 2017-18 fraternal year budget was approved at our August 7th council meeting. Bingo and Pull Tab charitable contributions total $28,735, including over $21,000 for St Augustine’s Parish and the St. Patrick’s Oratory. $7,275 is available for needs as they arise. The proposed contributions for hurricanes Irma and Harvey relief would be paid from this budget. $10,050 from the council account is budgeted for expenses such as rosaries for First Communion students, bibles for Confirmation students, C&B donations, Christmas gifts for the clergy, Chapter Charity Ball support, Ecumenical Concert refreshments, support of the Catholic Daughters, the Jr. Catholic Daughters and Columbian Squires, Seton Academy and Seton Catholic Scholarships, Coats for Kids, college scholarships and more. The council voted to increase our college scholarships from $500 to $750. These expenses are funded by our spaghetti dinners, C&B sales, donations, bingo concessions, newsletter ads and any other fund-raising.
We will also be contributing $1,000 to the St. Augustine’s Religious
Education Program and $500 to the Peru JCEO Food Shelf from our
Hall Sale Account.

  • Babbie Rural and Farm Learning Museum - $250
  • Seton Catholic Central School - $500
  • Seton Academy - $500
  • St. Augustine’s Church Bulletin - $500
  • St. Augustine’s Applefest Redbook - $95
  • St. Augustine’s Faith Formation Program - $2,000
  • Bishop’s Fund of the Diocese of Ogdensburg - $750
